This is the Lunar Ghost from the 'Scooby Doo' movie. The model was recreated using scans and measurements from an existing costume suit we made for the film.
I have included several different combinations of the model parts, a decimated version and the full 10 million polygon version.
I have included some images of the actual suit for painting reference both digitally and physically.
For those people ( and I know there's a few of you ) who want to recreate the suit and wear it, this following information is for you.
The overall height of the suit including the head is 293cm.
The blue shape is the template for the 4 wings, they are all the same and made from a transparent material with a 5mm edging.
There are 2 images that show how a performer fits inside the suit. We employed a performer who could walk on stilts.
The 'solid' parts of the costume are the shoes, hands and the head. There is a file of just these parts.
The 'soft' parts are the body suit, the collar, the ruff, and the fur trims on the sleeve cuffs and the 4 fur pom poms. There is a file of just these parts.
The 4 wings I have also supplied as a seperate file.
I have included a ztl file for ZBrush that has a 100cm scale reference cube so you can be certain you are making it the correct size. Of course there is no reason you couldn't make it smaller if you want.
I know it's taken me some time to get this completed, I hope you have fun with your very own Lunar Ghost, and if you choose to make a suit yourself please send me photos.
Thanks,
John Cox
